today we had the opportunity to practise our Opening Sequence and Sun Salutation A / Sun Salutation B with yogi Pablo of Pablo Lucero Yoga in Fred Busch absence due to illness. It was a great energy class with lots of physical challenges. Learned today that how I have been doing my chaturanga yoga lowering with my arms and shoulder is technically wrong so it is going to take a lot of practise to break that pattern and roll my shoulders back before each lower hands wide apart on the mat.
I feel challenged with all the photo work orders I have in Nevis to complete with the course load that I have here but I have committed to this course so this is where my heart needs to be.
The last two days I have practised 75 minutes hot yoga before my lectures which will help me not only to build strength in how the classes are taught but this time will increase my hrs which are needed to complete the course. An average of 6 yrs of practise in the studio per day is needed however we have days in our schedule that we will be at the studio for well over 7 hrs of straight practising so I should be able to attain the 200 hrs needed for my certificate with ease if I add in a couple of my own additional 7 hrs days into the schedule.
My vegetarian diet is going well. I am enjoying that it is far more possible to have this type of lifestyle in a city vs living in Nevis. I started E3live today too which is basically blue green algae and very good for you. I will give you more feed back on that as time progresses. I am concerned the we are not allowed breaks during the 4 hr lecture/ practise sessions. I am hypoglycemic so I need to eat every 2.5 hrs. I am here to be strict but I also need to be aware of the needs of my own body too. Finding the balance.
I feel my journey on this pah is unique to the others I am practising with. I am not from Miami and I will not be staying in Miami. Everything, for me, is new and different. I traveled here. I am here living in a love apartment after my adventure in a not so nice area of Miami. I have the opportunity to share where I live with another woman who's outlooks and views on her holistic path and journey are so interesting to learn about. I haven't lived with a "quote unquote" " roommate" since I was in university and even then it was my best friend Megan and not someone I didn't know before. Miranda lived with us for a while in CR but that was different 'cas Miranda is so close to me we are pretty much sisters and of course my Lane was there too :P
It is thrilling, scare and exciting that every moment of my life here has nothing to do with any patterns that I have so the only things I need to figure out is who I am on this path with yoga and my career as a photographer how they can both be in harmony and what I can offer myself and my world around me when I return to my new home of Nevis in 40 more days.
