Day Four of yoga training:
Things to note for remaining time in class:
Fred Busch yelled at me in class today and made me repeat the opening sequence without giving one pose without saying "inhale" or "exhale" 1st. It was great! Honestly, I am a go go go person and I feel very uncomfortable unless I have more then 3 projects on the go. I don't feel like I am contributing unless I have tons of things I need to struggle to complete.
So yes, here I was being told to start all over and instruct the class differently by my instructor and I am in my head "thinking OMG it is hard enough for me to know all the poses in there order and when to tell people to get into them and not messing that up and what foot goes where and switching sides right /left are there muscles firm I have to walk around and touch and adjust my students and make sure the sequence flows and and and"...OMG shit I need to BREATH! WOW it was exactly that. An "aha! moment" stop thinking of ALL the things you have to do and BREATH. The reason I love yoga IS that is is the only place in the world I make time for myself to step back and just focus on the breath. Inhale and exhale!
So I made it through the sequence with the class stating the inhales and exhales and now I need to rearrange my whole way of thinking how to teach the poses to first say inhale or exhale before stating the pose.
Other things I am realising out side yoga. Trains here are another wonderful challenge to work through. I am able to get all around and do a lot of things I never thought I could do with out Lane. Coconut ice cream (while vegan) is not allowed in my diet anymore after two amazing bowls of it the last two days. It is just too fantastic for me and loaded in sugars that (while natural) are not benefiting my body goals. This same goes for other carb products that I need to eat up and then quite :P Swimming laps in the pool is another great place to reflect. The days whip by there and suddenly it is already nearly midnight.
